Our History
The year, 1996. It was a long December, and there was reason
to believe, maybe this year would be better than the last. The
Hudson River had started to freeze over in parts, and our founder,
John Hydrophobe,
realized that he could almost skate across the Hudson River to
Manhattan. He realized the numerous benefits to
having a paved area between New York and New Jersey. On that
day, he decided he had to get to work on his vision right away.
Just three years and a half years
later, in the spring of 2000 he had finished the hard work of naming
the charity, and could then get started on fundraising.
In the last 10 years, we've received
donations, in money and cement, in excess of 500 pounds! We've
been able to do it because of people like you believing in our
vision. |
